Did John Trent ever play JV football at the “Point?”
I played against them in 1947 at West Point for Lycoming College.
I will have to check. Did you look at the several Navy listings Posted? Phil
John played Varsity Football in 47, 48, & 49.
I REALLY APPRECIATE THE INFO. I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL RECENTLY THAT JOHN WAS KIAED ON MY BIRTHDAY 1950 IN KOREA.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AN D THE GREAT TRADITIONS FOSTERED BY OUR SERVICE ACADEMIES.

Seeking information about a cadet who died in a training explosion at West Point. His name was Gerhard Rowe, he was killed July 9, 1923. He was my cousin. Is there any kind of memorial or plaque at West Point for him, or mention in the Howitzer or school paper?
The only information I have is from the Register of Graduates. It has home of record, died as a Cadet, age 22.
I will need to contact the Library to see if there is additional information. Phil Burns Class of ’62
Karin Krueger – Great Uncle Gerhard was in the Menomonie papers and the Army issued special order 147 to transport his remains home. glenn.rowe@hotmail.com
Karin,
This is Jim Rowe, my father was George Rowe (1910-1965), the youngest brother of Gerhard Rowe who was my uncle. There were no pictures of Gerhard in the 1923 Howitzer as I suspected because he would have graduated with the class of 1924, and to date I have not been able to locate a 1924 copy of the yearbook. In any event, I have lots of Rowe family history that you may be interested in and which I would be glad to share with you. Regards Jim Rowe
Yes post it and send me the link. I will move it over. Thanks Phil
